I have a bit of a constant battle with my hair. One day it will look okay, then within 24 hours I resemble an electrocuted Emu.
I unashamedly admit that I have succumbed to trying most products and fads over the years that have hit the market. At whatever cost too. But very few have rewarded me with improved long term effects. So it was with little hope that I decided to try L’Occitane’s repairing shampoo and conditioner for dry and damaged hair. According to L’Occitane it will transform your hair from dry and damaged to strong and shiny.
And, Strong and Shiny is exactly what I’m looking for.
I’m not going to get too ‘sciencey’ about the ingredients (because I can’t) but both the shampoo and the conditioner contain 5 essential oils; ylang-ylang, lavender, sweet orange, geranium and angelica which all aid the repair of the hair fibre. In addition the hair is smoothed with the sweet almond oil
And it works! It really does leave your hair feeling clean and soft. The shampoo lathers up well and even on my longish hair (roughly down to bra fastener) I only needed one and a half pumps of product.
The conditioner leaves the hair shiny and I know that professionals say you can’t ever repair split ends, but my ends look neater and straighter. It doesn’t feel as if my hair is weighed down with product neither.
There’s an extra bonus point too; according to my children, my hair smells really good now (I haven’t dare ask what it smelt like before)
In a nutshell – I love it. And I can’t imagine using anything else now.
The downside? it isn’t cheap. The shampoo is £18 for 300mls and the conditioner is £19 for 250mls but the good news is that L’Occitane offer a 500ml eco-refill bags for both products.
