I haven’t posted for a while. It started with a bit of writer’s block – yes that is a real thing! And then I awoke to the dreadful news of the Manchester bomb.
Every time I hear of one of these dreadful attacks, my blood runs cold and my throat constricts but this one was in my hometown and I was heartbroken.
When something so dreadful happens, you can easily start to question the importance of everything else and the point of doing certain things. And I, for a while felt listless and uninterested.
Me, who is passionate about ladies dressing to feel good about themselves and strongly advocates ladies investing in themselves to inject energy and positivity in to their lives, could no longer remember why it was important.
But I suspect that this is all a natural reaction to grief.
Appearance is important though and having pride in your appearance is not a sign of vanity or being egocentric. How we look is the primary and principal reflection of our attitude.
And in my opinion, it is more important than ever that we maintain good attitude right now. As individuals and subsequently as a society, we need to show strength, pride and resilience. We must all fiercely protect our values and our lifestyles.
My thoughts are continually with the millions of people affected by the tragedies and my heart goes out to the families who have lost loved ones and those who have suffered life-changing injuries. For them, we must all remain passionate about life and look after one after.
